The National Press Club's Last Supper

At 2 p.m. last Wednesday at the National Press Club, the servers were clearing trays and steam tables from the dining hall. Taking dishes, cutlery and glasses to the dishwashers in the kitchen, they then went home while the kitchen staff finished the job. They would not be setting up, as usual, for an evening event. This was their last day at the Press Club–in fact, it was the last day for the club itself.
