Asia Pacific Food Fair
The Spouses’ Association of the Asia-Pacific Embassies organized their annual food fair on March 5. This year’s event was hosted by the Embassy of Japan, with the proceeds going to Haiti earthquake relief.

Travel and Vacation Show
The countries of the world united at the Aberdeen Pavilion over the weekend for this year’s edition of the Travel and Vacation Show. Dozens of embassies and high commissions banded with travel companies and others in an effort to highlight what they have to offer.
Black and White Soirée
Politicos, diplomats and socialites came together at the National Arts Centre the night of Feb. 27 for the 13th annual Black and White Opera Soirée. This fundraiser for the NAC is a staple of the Ottawa scene and the impressive guest list featured a who’s who of Canadian politics.

Defence attachés from around Ottawa gathered at the Russian Embassy on Feb. 25 to celebrate Motherland Defenders’ Day, which commemorates all those who have served in the Russian armed forces.
